June 18–22, 2019, Almost 2,000 participants from 78 countries, including almost all African countries, attended this Annual Meeting.
The 2019 Annual Meeting of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), dubbed AAM2019, took place in Moscow, Russian Federation, from 20th to 22nd of June 2019. The overarching theme for the year was: ‘Harnessing Emerging Partnerships in an Era of Protectionism’ while the sub-themes for seminars and Meeting of the Advisory Group on Trade Finance and Export Development in Africa included ‘African Trade and Investment Amid Changing Global Dynamics: Opportunities and Challenges’ and ‘Strengthening Economic Cooperation with Emerging Partners.’
The three days of deliberations (including Meetings of the Advisory Group on Trade Finance and Export Development in Africa, the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, seminars, plenaries and side events) enabled businesses, regional experts and policy makers to connect, explore trade and investment opportunities and develop important business links.
